Some YouTube Features You Can Test Before Unveil

If you watch YouTube videos like majority of people that are online then you will see that YouTube  bring out new and innovating features to the biggest video sharing site.  I’ve just found out today that you can find out and test different features that YouTube are trying out.  It’s called  TestTube currently it has eight different features you can test now before it’s released in the future...



YouTube Slam
This is my favourite one it’s a game not a feature.  It gives you three options to choose from at the start Comedy Slam,Cute Slam or Bizarre Slam. Once you’ve picked one the game begins. You will get two videos that will be displayed next to one another watch one then the other. Then you have to decide which has been voted funnier if you’re playing Comedy Slam, which one is cuter on Cute Slam and finally which one is more bizarre on Bizarre Slam. The more times you vote for the most popular one the more points you’ll get.

Comment Search
The comment search is a nice add-on to have on YouTube. It lets you search through all of YouTube’s comments  then when the results come in  the comment with the most vote ups is shown first with video,what the comment said and how many vote ups the comment has.  It also lets you search for all languages when searching and you can choose to sort the comments by their rating or by the time they where posted.

Video Editor
This doesn’t seem to be a new feature that YouTube are showcasing. As you edit your video by going to video manager, click on edit on a video to edit. The only differences is that you can easily add music to an uploaded video and transactions and text. Overall it’s just a quicker way editing an all ready uploaded video.

Caption Editor
Caption editor lets you easily add captions to your videos but also any other video on YouTube. You can update the captions and publish them if there your video if there not you can still edit them with captions but you can only save the video to your computer. You can only use this feature if you have a Google account that has your YouTube accounts associated with it.

HTML 5 Video
You won’t notice many differences when you try this feature out. The only differences that i have are that YouTube videos run more smoothly now they don’t crash as often,or skip bits parts of the video the video plays how you want it to play.

YouTube Music Discovery
A brilliant idea from YouTube. Music Discovery lets you discover new music from your favourite artists. This feature is a lot more simpler than the rest.  All you have to do is type your favourite artist in then click the “Disco!” button then the most viewed videos of your artist will be put into a playlist for you to listen to. If you don’t want to put an artist in then it gives you the option of playing YouTube’s Top 100 Music in the week.

YouTube Feather
Feather will help you out if you keep having delaying with YouTube videos. YouTube Feather limits the amount of services that you use on YouTube to boost the speed of your experience on YouTube. This is manly for people that have slow internet connections as the amount of  video that your computer will download will be less but at the same quality.  With YouTube feather you’ll notice that this feature has the biggest appreace change of your YouTube experience, as most of YouTube’s features will be turned of and back to basics to get the video to play smoother without any buffering.

YouTube LeanBack and YouTube Remote Android App
This isn’t much information on this feature on their website but I’am guessing that it lets you use your android app to browse YouTube on your television.
