Know Everything About Android 4.1 Jelly Bean

Sunday, July 15, 2012 Wondering what the brouhaha surrounding Jelly Bean is all about? Well, Google is giving a full exploration of its Jelly Bean through an official change log. Not only has Google’s updated camera app, Google Now, finally getting their due, key individual apps like Calendar now have more elegant transitions, spelling into a better overall speed. Let’s delve deeper into the new features:

 - Jelly Bean lets you search content faster on the Internet and also makes it easy to share photos between two phones.

- Google has also added a new embedded speech recogniser that lets you use Voice Typing even when you don't have an Internet connection. This makes the voice dictation system work even when your handset lacks an Internet connection.

- Google Now brings you just the right information at just the right time. Cards appear throughout the day at the moment you need them, and appear as a notification when they're important. Once the feature is activated, it gives you information as and when you seek it. For example, if you are travelling, it will keep telling you the status of your flight.

- With this new version, you can also share photos by tapping two phones together, using an emerging wireless technology called near-field communications..

- The new Android also promises a smarter keyboard, with a feature for predicting your next word before you type.

- Notifications have received a considerable update. Apps can now display larger, richer notifications to users that can be expanded and collapsed with a pinch. Notifications support new types of content, including photos, have configurable priority, and can even include multiple actions.

- This new version also introduces improved App Widgets that can automatically resize, based on where the user drops them on the home screen, the size to which the user expands them, and the amount of room available on the home screen.

- It also comes with an effortless, intuitive UI. To ensure a consistent framerate, Android 4.1 extends vsync timing across all drawing and animation done by the Android framework.

- Android 4.1 also adds triple buffering in the graphics pipeline, for more consistent rendering that makes everything feel smoother, from scrolling to paging and animations.
