Galaxy Note 2 Coming On 30 August: Report

Saturday, July 14, 2012 The reports about the second Samsung Galaxy Note smartphone started to surface very recently and interestingly enough, it is being rumoured that the device will be launched as soon as 30 August. According to the Korean Digital Daily, "Samsung is planning to have an 'Unpacked' event for the Galaxy Note 2. It should happen on August 30 - a day before the IFA expo kicks off in Berlin, Germany."

Galaxy Note enjoyed huge popularity among smartphone lovers as it was the first device to sport a 5.3 inch HD Super AMOLED display. However, what makes Galaxy Note 2 even more special is the fact that it will feature a slightly larger 5.5-inch display with WSXGA+ (1680×1050) and 360 pixel density. The reason for not going in with a full HD resolution is that human eye can't perceive separate pixels if the pixel density is over 300 ppi, making it pointless. The Galaxy Note 2 will feature Super AMOLED display with a similar PenTile matrix as the Galaxy S3, Mobile Indian reported.

Moreover, the company is expected to make full use of the Exynos 5250 processor, which is built on latest ARM Cortex-A15 CPU processor architecture along with a much faster graphic engine for superior performance. Galaxy Note 2 is also likely to have 1.5 GB of RAM for clutter free operations along with a 15-megapixel camera with improved lens and image sensor for better images and videos.
