Samsung Galaxy S2 Finally Gets Android 4.1 Update

The widely expected Android update offers features like improved TouchWiz interface.

Thursday, March 14, 2013 Samsung Galaxy S2 has been graced with the Android 4.1 aka Jelly Bean update after the company recently announced that the update was ready to be released. The update first hit the UK market and other countries are expected to receive their version in the coming days.

The update brings with itself much improved user interface along with Samsung's improved TouchWiz user interface for the S2. Additionally, the upgrade includes features like video pop out that allow users to watch videos and work on other things simultaneously.

Apart from video pop-out, the S2 gets pause feature that is available on the Galaxy camera, which allows user to pause the recording and continue it from where they left it.

However, it has been reported that the upgrade will only be made available as a download through the Samsung Kies application only and not over the air (OTA) mainly due to the size of the upgrade file being on the higher side.

All this suggest that all you Galaxy S2 users in the country can expect their Android 4.1 roll out to begin within the next couple of weeks, which would clearly delight numerous Galaxy S2 users in India.
