What is DNS Changer Malware
DNS Changer malware make DNS servers rogue. It changes ISP’s good DNS servers into rogue DNS servers operated by the bad element. The malware attempts to access office, home and server device and change its DNS server by using common username and passwords.
The FBI decided to shut down rogue servers. Users whose
network has been affected by DNS Changer Malware will not be able to start
their Internet Connection.
As DNS Changer Working Group said, as of july 4, there about 45619 IP Address
infected in USA then 21831 IP Address in Italy and then India comes where 19642
IP address infected.
What if Your System is Infected with DNS Changer
If you haven’t fixed your system you will certainly loose access to Internet through your computer. Then you will have to resetting your IP that’s not easy.
As US Court Order expires on 9th july 2012, The
FBI will shut down all the rouge servers and if you haven’t cleaned your system
you may lose access to Internet.
How to Know If your System is Infected with DNS Changer

Follow the step below to identify if your system is infected or not.
Step 1. Visit the one of these sites and check the report.

Step 1. Open Command Prompt (Run > cmd)
Step 2. Enter the following command: jpconfig/all
Step 3. Locate the DNS Server column in the result and copy
it.
Step 4. Go to the FBI DNS check page and enter the DNS you
copied and click on ‘Check My DNS’.
