UPDATE: GoDaddy says it has restored some of the service and is making progress.
EARLIER: GoDaddy.com and the millions of sites hosted on its servers are currently down.
Users first went to Twitter to report the outage, and GoDaddy later confirmed that sites hosted on GoDaddy are facing issues.
GoDaddy tweeted earlier today, "Hey, all. We're aware of the trouble people are having with out site. We're working on it."
One member of the Anonymous hacker group is claiming responsibility and says that the attack is not from the Collective as a whole. That means the attack likely comes from a small faction within the hacker group.
Users are also reporting that email addresses associated with GoDaddy are down.
