If we are to believe the latest reports then the release of the Samsung Galaxy S4 could be a month earlier this year when compared to the S3, and it’s also suggested that an unveil could take place in March during the Samsung Mobile Unpacked event. While we have no way of knowing the validity of this news, revealing the S4 post MWC could be a good move because the event in Barcelona will be choked full of other Android devices.
The date for the Unpacked event is rumored to be on March 22 (which does sound very specific) and will be the largest one yet. This does make sense considering the Galaxy smartphone has become so popular in the past year, so having a huge unveil in the US has to be the obvious way to go.
As with all rumors we have to take these with a grain of salt, but the source has been correct on various occasions in the past, so this could be the real deal. If this is the case then we could see the Galaxy S4 released in the second half of April. The first few months of this year are going to be crazy for smartphone users, because January saw CES, February is MWC and March could be the unveiling of the Galaxy S4 at Samsung’s Unpacked event, although they could also announce other devices as well.
Having said that, we already reported that Samsung will have a strong showing at MWC this year and could unveil the Samsung Galaxy Note 8.0 ahead of the Note 3.
